Ok, well I didn't wait to hear back from you and started to dig anyways. I am not sure on your budget but this is a move in the direction you want he has done extensive restorations from everything from Farscape, to star Wars and Abbot and costellow meet frankenstein..oh and American Werewolf in London. Its a start at least. http://www.tomspinadesigns.com/Restoration.htmlHi there,
I recently bought an old prop from the Bonhams Doctor Who auction.
It's the latex brontosaurus from 74's Invasion of the Dinosaurs, but he's a little battered and bruised.
I was wondering if anyone might have any advice about 'sensitive' restoration, or might even be able to reccomend a good London-based restorer specialising in this area of expertise, to whom I could chat about it?
Cheers, Paul.

Hey Paul, Brian sent me over here, I may know some people who would be able to do a restoration, I would have to do some digging but one of them did some restoration work on a Wampa and a Tauntaun and did beautiful work, not sure if he is in the UK though. I do have some connections and could certainly put out the word for you. Send me the info on what needs to be done, materials etc and I will see what I can do for you. Karsten Hi there,

Hi Paul,
I put out a request to a prop friend of mine. I am more so in the prop replica collecting myself so I am not sure where to direct you right now. But hopefully my friend will pop on soon. I believe he knows of a few people who have restored props.
Please feel free to post any pics of the prop too, I'd love to see what you have.

Folk of the fringe is a decent read, but Enders game and Speaker for the dead are Mr Scott Cards best in my humble opinion. I've just finished Matter by Ian M Banks one of the best SF writers around, and am currently reading Warrior of Rome book one fire in the east.
How odd, I saw this thread and was going to post that after just finishing the Who NA Blood Harvest by Terrance Dicks, I had just started Folk of the Fringe by Orson Scott Card. Ender's Game is one of my favorite books of all time, deserves to be a good movie one day hopefully and although I like Speaker and the rest of the Ender saga, if you have not read the Bean series where Bean and Peter are the main characters you missed out on another aspect of that universe that really works well in my opinion.

Wish we had map to put pins in. That would be cool.
I wonder if Christian has any ideas on that one. I think that would be a fun idea. A virtual map would be ace!! Speaking of Christian, I really liked his lette that was published in DWM this month OMG, I'm so sad, I read that too and went 'hey, that's one of the dudes from K!'

But I genuinely enjoy all the stories. Save Paradise Towers really. So I feel fine buying them. There are things to enjoy in them all for me.
I really agree with you Terra I watched Arc of Infinity and Dragonfire both recently. They have both been stories I have found difficult to watch in the past, but i thoroughly enjoyed them. And even Time and the Rani. I feel weird and wrong saying I enjoy them, but you're toatally right. Every single episode of Doctor Who has something brilliant about it, even if it is only a small little thing. I'm afraid I am a completist though, and MUST own every Who DVD that I don't already (I even plan on purchasing the ReVisitations set). However, I also admire CastellanSpandrel for his comments. It just shows, even the most dedicated and obsessed Whovians don't have to be completists. We are all different, and that's what makes these forums so much fun
